Do you offer DDoS protection?

A distributed denial of service attack (DDoS) occurs when multiple compromised systems flood the bandwidth or resources of a targeted system, usually one or more web servers. These systems are compromised by attackers using a variety of methods.

All of our servers are protected by Tipping Point. Tipping Point is the device our data center uses for both IPS and DDoS mitigation.  It is a piece of hardware located at the top of our data center's network architecture just beneath the border routers.  Tipping Point blocks malicious and unwanted traffic, while allowing valid traffic to pass unimpeded.  The DDoS Protection side utilizes a hybrid approach with a combination of anomaly filters, SYN proxy, rate shaping, and statistical techniques to protect against DoS and DDoS attacks.

If something does happen to slip by Tipping Point we place Cisco Guard the server for up to 24 hours or until the attack seizes. Our data center's Cisco Guard system diverts traffic destined for a targeted device under attack (and only that traffic) and subjects it to the unique Multi-Verification Process (MVP) architecture from Cisco. The MVP architecture imposes multiple layers of defense designed to identify and block the specific packets and flows responsible for the attack while allowing legitimate transactions to pass, ensuring business continuity even while under attack.
